El Cerdo

Over-ordered because we over-estimated ourselves.

December has been a pig-out month for me -
only because Bec is back.

Had it not been for her,
I would have been
able to maintain my *cough* figure *cough*

Life is unfair
when you have friends
who enjoy eating as much as you do
BUT don't put on the pounds.

New Year's resolution(s)/plan?

Cut down on food expenditure &
allocate a bigger budget for holi-holidays!
Heee heeee.

2011 Highlights

Comparing 2011 with 2010,
I have been blogging much lesser. . .
only because I have nothing
interesting to write about
and the only thing that keeps me going
is just me wanting to document
memorable moments (ie. eating/traveling moments)
in my life.

A snapshot of my 2011 :

Prime

Friday isn't a Friday if it doesn't feel like one.
The past two Fridays have been nothing short of draining.

Although it may officially mark the end of a week,
knowing how hectic it'll be all over again
when Monday arrives
doesn't make Friday as welcoming
as it should be.

BAH!

Had dinner @ Prime last Friday.
It was probably one of the only thoughts
that got me through the week,
apart from Christmas!

As usual, overate the bread -_-
And was too stuffed by the time my wagyu arrived.

Lobster Bisque (super good!)

I had the clam chowder. It was super RICH with cream.
It was good but with my stomach half full with bread
and half full with soup -
perhaps filling it up unnecessarily wasn't such a good idea.

Blackmore Wagyu D Rump

3 sides to share - mashed potato, spinach and mushrooms.
It was WAY too much for the both of us -_-

Hot Chocolate Cake with Ice-cream
(one of the best desserts to end a great meal!)

Need to go on a diet asap! ARGH.
Been eating SO much recently,
I'm starting to feel sick in the stomach.

The Yellow Stall on the Street

Opposite Uncle Cheng's beef noodles in SS2 (CLICK), is a stretch of stalls (about 6 stalls) on the street. The stall is nameless but it's right at the end and has a yellow menu signboard.

The queue can usually be quite long.
The first time we lined up to take away chai kuih and tong sui, we lined up for easily half an hour.

Chang kuih and Chai Kuih

Assam Laksa

Mak Chuk <3

I really like the food here ! It's really tasty.

There's the appetizer (kuih), mains (noodles) and dessert (a variety of tong sui) all offered by one stall!

Green Mango, Hanoi

Wouldn't recommend this place.

Expensive for mediocre food 'save and except for' the risotto which was the only thing I enjoyed . . .but that's because I'm a risotto freak.
